Eye Lash Extensions
The Glamourous Look
Eyelash extensions are a way to extend the length and thickness of your natural lashes. Not to be confused with self-stick strip false lashes or individual clusters of lashes knotted together that are a single-event accessory, our semi-permanent extensions are adhered one by one onto the natural lashes using a specially formulated adhesive that lasts a number of weeks.
Lightweight Lashes...
Our extensions are very comfortable to wear and are so lightweight that you won’t even be able to feel you are wearing them. The look and feel is completely natural looking and real – every one will just think you were born with beautiful, long lashes!
Eyelash Extension Techniques:

Classic Eyelash Extensions
Classic lashes are the original method of eyelash extensions – one extension is applied to each natural lash, creating a natural/mascara look.

Volume Eyelash Extensions
Russian volume is a specialised technique where between 2 – 6 super fine and lightweight lash extensions, handmade into a fan on the spot, are applied on to each natural lash. This creates a fuller and fluffier look than classic lashes which is great if you have naturally sparse lashes or prefer a more glamorous look. Choose from 2-3D (natural look) or 4-6D (glamorous look).

Infills
Your natural lashes grow, so they will need a maintenance appointment after a few weeks. At an infill, outgrown extensions are removed and the extensions that naturally shed with your natural lashes are replaced.
Please schedule your infill appointments every 2 – 3 weeks to maintain your eyelash extensions. Our maximum time limit for infills is 4 weeks – anything over 4 weeks is considered a full set. To maintain a fuller look you may wish to consider more frequent infill appointments.
Please note that a Patch Test is required for this treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions...
What is the Aftercare for Eyelash extensions?
The first 24 hours
Eyelash adhesive takes 24 hours to completely dry, so the first 24 hours are the most important time to ensure that your lashes will last.
Do not get your extensions wet. Exposing your new extensions to any moisture, including steam (e.g. hot steamy shower, sauna, jacuzzi, facial steamer, hot steam when opening an oven door), will cause your extensions to fall out prematurely. Do not use sunbeds.
Should I clean my eyelashes?
Yes, it is extremely important to keep your eyelash extensions clean! Washing your extensions a once a day helps to keep them looking fresh and last longer. It’s super easy and only takes a minute.Pump a gentle foaming lash cleanser, Gently work the foam into the lashes, Rinse with water, Pat eyes dry, Brush your lashes with a mascara wand to make them neat and fluffy again.
How to Maintain my eyelashes extension fuller for longer?
-
Oil breaks down eyelash extension glue. Therefore keep oil-based products away from your extensions and limit the use of oily products on your face.
-
Use oil-free eye make-up remover.
-
Brush your extensions daily to keep them looking neat.
-
Do not pick or pull your extensions as this will pull your natural lashes out.
-
Do not rub your eyes.
-
Avoid sleeping on your face.
-
Choose a felt tip or pencil eyeliner rather than liquid or gel.
-
When removing make-up with anything other than foaming lash cleanser, work around your lashes and don’t wipe over them.
How long does lash extensions last?
Eyelash extensions can last up to 6 weeks when properly cared for. However, they are no longer full at 6 weeks as the extensions will shed with the natural growth cycle of your own lashes. Therefore, infills are required every 2 – 3 weeks to keep your extensions full and it will last as long as you continue to fill them in.
If your hair and nails grow quickly then that may indicate that your natural lashes also grow, shed and renew themselves quickly so you may find that your extensions will not last as long as someone whose hair growth is slow. Your lifestyle and how well you follow the aftercare instructions will also make a difference in how long they last.

Will lash extensions damage my natural eyelash?
No, it is a myth that they are damaging if applied correctly. Many of our clients have constantly had extensions applied with no break and they have never encountered their lashes being damaged. Damage can be caused by inexperienced therapists – it is important to have your lash extensions applied by a qualified specialist who uses top quality products and does not use excess glue or lashes too long or thick that can cause damage to your natural eyelashes. It is safe to wear extensions permanently without breaks.

Can I Wear mascara and eye make up with eyelash extensions?
The beauty of eyelash extensions is that there is no need to wear mascara! You can roll out of bed looking great and best of all extensions will make your lashes look like you’re wearing mascara 24/7 without the clumping, streaking, and smudging. Wearing mascara on your extensions is not advised as it will cause them to fall out prematurely and cleaning mascara off your extensions is difficult, it can pull them out and damage your natural lashes.
You can wear mascara on your lower lashes as long as it is non-waterproof. For the upper lid, a felt tip eyeliner is a better option than liquid/gel, and eyeshadow is fine to wear. Make sure to remove any eye make-up at the end of the day with an oil-free eye make-up remover.
Can I swim, shower, exercise or visit a spa while wearing lash extensions?
Yes. The bonding agent we use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise etc. However, eyelash adhesive takes 24 hours to completely dry, so the first 24 hours are the most important time to ensure that your lashes will last. For the first 24 hours after the eyelash application, you must not get your eyelash extensions wet or come into contact with hot steam and it is advisable to wait 24 hours after application until exercising.
I have a special event coming up, when is the best time to book an appointment?
If you’ve never had eyelash extensions applied before then we recommend booking a full set 2 weeks before your special event at the latest. And then to book an infill 3 days before the date. This will allow time to experiment with different lashes, learn proper aftercare and ensure there are no allergies to the product.
I had eyelashes extensions applied few days ago and few lashes had fallen out- why?
Each day we can lose 3-5 natural lashes, but often they fall out unnoticed unless they fall into your eye, but when eyelash extensions are applied we are more aware of when they shed as they are longer, darker and thicker. If you sleep on your stomach with your face squashed into the pillow or you favour sleeping on one side you may notice the lashes may not last as well as the other side.

Why do my lashes last better after some infills than others?
Lashes grow in cycles – the average cycle is usually 9-12 weeks. This means that the number of lashes you have week after week will vary, depending on what stage of your lash cycle you are in. Some weeks your lashes will look fuller than others, and some weeks your retention will be better.
Can eyelashes extensions be removed?
Yes, eyelash extensions are easily removed by using a professional glue remover and it should take between 20 – 30 minutes. It is not recommended to attempt to remove the extensions yourself as this may cause damage to your natural lashes.
