Microneedling
Smoother, Brighter Skin
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure for your skin. This advanced therapy uses a precision-engineered electronic medical device to stimulate the skin’s natural responses by producing thousands of micro-needle columns in the skin. Skin regenerates and repairs as the holes close helping to form new collagen and cells while enhancing the lower level of your skin.
Whilst the majority of microneedling treatments are performed on the face, we can also perform microneedling around your body to treat sun damage, stretch marks and even scarring. The result is smoother, brighter, and healthier skin.
An advanced therapy...
Microneedling is an outpatient procedure, so you can go home once it’s done. Your skin might be red and swollen for up to five days. An ice pack can help reduce irritation and discomfort. Most people can wear makeup the day after the procedure, but you should stay out of the sun until your skin heals.
Frequently Asked Questions...
Where can I get Microneedling treatment?
Most people get microneedling on their face, but you can also get it on your legs, back, neck or other areas where you notice damaged or aging skin. Scalp or anywhere with hair loss ( also helps with Alopecia)
What Microneedling is good for?
Microneedling is excellent treatment to target enlarged pores, fine lines or wrinkles, loose or crepey (thin and wrinkled) skin, mild scars, especially those from acne or burns, skin discoloration or uneven skin tone, stretch marks, anywhere with hair loss ( it also helps with Alopecia).
Is microneedling treatment painful?
No. We apply a topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) before we begin to keep discomfort to a minimum.
How long does microneedling treatment take?
For Microneedling, it’s a good idea to plan to be with us for an hour – treatment time can vary depending on the area being treated.
Are there any side effects of microneedling?
A clear benefit of microneedling is that it requires little downtime. Immediately after the procedure, your skin will be red and flushed (like moderate sunburn). You may also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to the touch. This will last for around 24 to 36 hours. It’s important to use UVA/UVB protection during this time.
When will I see results from microneedling?
As microneedling treatment stimulates the skin’s natural processes, it can take up to 6 weeks for visible signs of rejuvenation and repair to show. The great news is that the process continues over the following months for natural, long-lasting results.
How many microneedling treatments should I have?
We recommend 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart. But we’ll talk through this in more detail and develop a micro-needling programme for you during your consultation.
*Individual results may vary.
